Seymour Vietnam Memorial Park
Tract has recently been engaged by the Vietnam Veterans Association and Mitchell Shire Council, over more than 20 other consultancies, to develop a concept plan for a new Memorial in Seymour honouring all 57 000 Australians who contributed to the national war efforts.
The vision is for a national significant “memorial park” integrating interpretive information and artefacts within a distinctive landscape. It is hoped that the addition of this memorial would further promote cultural tourism and visitation to the area. The significance of the Seymour district to Australia’s involvement in Vietnam is unique and the story of Australia’s National Servicemen completing their basic training at Puckapunyal is yet to be fully commemorated in this region.
